Cline Family Mailing List

Our "Cline Association of Western North Carolina" now has an automated mailing list. A mailing list (ListServ) is a discussion group in which users leave messages for others to read and reply to. All messages sent to the group are forwarded to it's members by email.
The mailing list is a great place to meet other Cline cousins and to exchange exchange ideas, share neat tips and tricks, ask questions, suggest new features, etc.
As a subscriber, you will have the option of receiving messages as they are posted or a digest version once a day. The digest will contain all messages posted during the specified time-frame.
As the List Administrator, I have elected to make our Cline Association list Closed (private). This means that you must contact me to subscribe to the list. It's not that I want to take on additional administrative tasks, but closing the list serves as a means of limiting our subscribers to those that have a genuine interest in furthering the research of our growing family tree. Limiting access also reduces the possibility of SPAM, viruses, and folks sending off-subject messages. A majority of mailing lists are Closed (private).
The Cline Association Mailing List will not have restrictions on what you can and cannot post to the list. We are a relatively small mailing list that is primarily restricted to Cline family members. Please keep in mind, if your post is limited in it's intended audience it would be more appropriate to email the receiver(s) directly versus to all members of the list.
One last bit of information, the host of our mailing list (RootsWeb) prefers that you do not send emails to the list in HTML or RTF format--plain text emails are requested.
I will do my best to answer your request to subscribe in a timely manner, at the most, within 3-days. If you do not receive an email confirming your request within 3-days, I may be out-of-town and/or busy. I will eventually process your subscription request.
