"Died: On October 23 Mrs. Caroline Zimmermann died, born Thieme. She was born March 11, 1806 in Grunrade in Neumark. She married Gottfried Zimmermann on 16 March 1825. They had nine children, 7 sons and 2 daughters. Six sons and 1 daughter are still living. In the year 1848 they moved to America and lived (near?) the Town of Wilson. Her husband died 16 March 1873. In 1880 she moved to Sheyboygan to live with her son-in-law Mr. Ferdinand Georges.

The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon. Her life was outlined by Pastor Wolbrecht in the Lutheran Trinity church. She lived 79 years, 7 months, and 12 days.

The deceased was mother of Friedrich & Gottfried Zimmermann."
